So-Deep owns all the equipment necessary to perform subsurface utility engineering services. We have an extensive equipment inventory. All surface geophysical equipment is calibrated daily upon use in the field. All survey equipment is calibrated at least as frequently as recommended by the manufacturer.

Anyone can purchase the specialized equipment required of the SUE profession. At So-Deep, we pride ourselves on knowing how and when to use it. We have an extensive training program that includes guidance of a mentor, training manuals, our buried utilities training facility, practical experience on project sites and in the classroom.

Our Skills Certification Program includes over 120 individual skill sets and typically takes several years to complete. Passing exams for each skill is just one aspect of the prerequisites to becoming a So-Deep field manager. Our formal training and certification programs serve as an ideal mechanism for employee expertise with all of our field and computer equipment.
